It’s not everyday that Celine Dion comes to town, in fact it had been eleven years since the last time she performed at the arena. Since that time the venue changed its name twice and Dion has also released four studio albums. Courage is her latest album released a few weeks ago and debuted at #1 on the album charts. Dion performed a great mix of songs throughout her career to the nearly sold-out Buffalo crowd Thursday evening. Continue reading

Tom Keifer is one of the greatest songwriters to come out of his era. One listen to such rock radio staples as “Shake Me”, “Nobody’s Fool” and “Shelter Me” it’s clear to see why. After Cinderella’s fourth album Still Climbing came out in 1994, record company problems and a shift in the music scene as well as vocal issues to Keifer all caused the band to go on a long haitus. They have never released a studio follow-up to Still Climbing to this date. It wasn’t until 2013 that finally saw the long waited solo debut from Keifer with The Way Life Goes. These days things are moving a long for Keifer and his band as their latest release Rise came out in September to much fanfare. We had an opportunity to talk to Tom recently and found out how he writes a song and much more. Continue reading

Touring in support of their most recent album The Great War, Sabaton rocked the Cleveland Agora Sunday (October 27). The Great War is a concept album that tells stories from World War I. Joining Sabaton were fellow Swedes HammerFall who coincidentally also have a new album entitled Dominion. It was a double dose from Sweden’s best who after over 20 years each showed that they can bring it as good as anyone. Just ask anyone who attended the show, they can attest. Continue reading

If this turns out to be the last time Styx played Rochester, NY, they sure left with all guns blazing. The band returned to town Tuesday night on the strength of their latest album The Mission. Playing two 1-hour sets that encompassed the majority of the band’s huge catalog of hits and AOR gems, the band also gave a healthy dose of The Mission which went over very well with the crowd.
