When Ace Frehley comes to town, his diehard fans always show up. Such was the case when Ace had last packed the same venue on back to back nights at the Bears Den in 2008. Ace along with his solid band ripped through a 70-minute set Saturday evening that featured several lost Kiss classics and some of Frehley’s solo material. Continue reading

After many obstacles and roadblocks, the Stadium Tour finally found its way to Highmark Stadium on Wednesday. Hawkins teamed up for a dynamic show that left one wondering why they are not playing bigger venues at this point in their careers. Both artists performed at a high level which was felt by the appreciative, yet small crowd. I can honestly say this was one of the finest shows I’ve seen since the start of the pandemic. When arriving at the Batavia Downs Friday evening, I was amazed to see there was not a parking spot to be found. Upon entering the track I could see that this was the fullest I ever seen for a show. Sure enough when the Director of Marketing announced we had a new record for attendance it was no surprise. Once the schedule was released this year this was the one show I knew would draw well and boy did it ever. Continue reading
