We recently sat down via zoom with none other than “Cowboy” Mach Bell who sang with the Joe Perry Project from 1982 until its untimely demise in 1984. That was of course when Joe Perry decided to rejoin Aerosmith. Mach kept a diary with great detail about his time in the Project. Mach also recently released the audiobook version featuring a few more stories not in the actual book as well as some special guests such as JPP bassist Danny Hargrove and former JPP singer Charlie Farren. Now available on CD, all digital stores and streaming media, is the best KISS tribute album ever made: “Buffalo Rock City”! The recording’s proceeds are geared to help the Compass House Foundation, a charitable organization which helps the homeless youth in Buffalo, New York.

Lifelong KISS fan and tribute band, KISS THIS! founder and guitarist, John Jeffrey, assembled the album. He felt it important to have a quality, KISS related release, which was large in part, represented the Western New York music scene. Continue reading →

Children of Bodom Leader Passes Away

News

Sad news to report as Children of Bodom leader Alexi Laiho passed away in his home in Helsinki, Finland last week. Laiho was the lead vocalist and guitarist of the band. He was widely regarded for his guitar skills landing on many lists of being one of the top guitarists on many international lists and polls. The year 2020 started off very good with a slew of great concert announcements. Fans looked forward to spending their summer at their usual hot spots of amphitheaters, arenas and for many great festivals and outdoor events. But once March hit things took a turn for the worse when the pandemic roared in full force, putting an immediate end to many planned summer tours. It seems with each passing year we get more and more Holiday songs to enjoy for the Christmas season. Here we ranked our all-time favorite original songs as well as picked out two new songs released this year which should become classics.

1. Christmas All Over Again- The song was written and performed by Tom Petty. The song appears on A Very Special Christmas 2 album released in 1992. This song is infectious and has also been recorded by The Goo Goo Dolls this year. Continue reading →
