It had been nine years since the Spin Doctors last played the area. They made their heralded return to the same stage they last played in 2016 at the Bear’s Den last night. The band can still put on a performance to rival any bands from their era. The musicianship in this band is so damn good. It was the perfect night of celebration as Wednesday 13 made a rare appearance in Buffalo and on a Wednesday night no less. The 400 capacity venue was the place to be as the Duke of Spook brought his “There’s No Such Things As Monsters” North American Tour to town. Wednesday 13 made sure to deliver a solid set featuring not only some of his best songs but of course treated the crowd with some Murderdolls as well. Continue reading

Daryl Hall mentioned he could not remember the last time he was in Erie, PA. He asked longtime band member Charles DeChant who has been with Hall for close to fifty years and he couldn’t remember as well. After some research it appears Hall and DeChant were last in town in 2000 when they appeared at the same Warner Theater. Since then the Theater has gone over some upgrades and restoration projects and looks simply magnificent. That is the same word I would use to describe Tuesday evening’s performance. It was a day of nothing but celebrations as Dream Theater brought their 40th Anniversary tour to Kodak Center Monday evening. What a party and joyous occasion it was. Not only because it was St. Patrick’s Day no less but to top that off the band also have a brand new album entitled Parasomnia. All this seemed to make the occasion majestic. Not only was the concert sold out but there seemed to be something in the air. A kind of magic if you will with the show divided into two sets. Continue reading

A rare treat for U.S. fans was the return of guitarist Adrian Vandenberg to American soil. This run of dates features his current band playing the Whitesnake hits as well as sprinkling in a few of his own songs. Since David Coverdale has been unable to tour this leaves Vandenberg as the last link out there playing these songs currently. Continue reading
