Taking a look at the weather forecast about four days before the show made it look like this show was in trouble of not happening. 70% chance of rain all day along with possible severe thunderstorms. As each day grew closer the outlook seemed less bleak. Amazing how perfect of a day it ended up being at the Artpark Amphitheater. The dynamic duo of Train and Reo Speedwagon packed the Empower FCU Amphitheater at Lakeview Wednesday evening. The Summer Road Trip tour also featured the Yacht Rock Revue who put on dazzling renditions of many classic songs from the 1970s. Chicago is one of those bands that brings you back in time. Many can recall when they first became acquainted with the band. The bands history of playing Rochester takes it as far back to Rochester’s RIT college in 1970. The band also played here at this same spot back when it was known as the Finger Lakes Performing Arts Center. They have come full circle playing many o the area’s esteemed venues including the Rochester Auditorium Theatre and even the Kodak Center more recently. Continue reading →
