The past few years Rick Springfield has dabbled into the tour package world with the theme that all the artists came into prominence at some point during the 1980s. This year he brought Paul Young who toured in the 2023 package, Wang Chung who have appeared in many 80’s package combos and the legendary John Waite. Waite not only had his solo career blossom in the 80s, but hit big with supergroup Bad English before the 80’s came to a close. Continue reading

An Evening With

Artpark Mainstage Theater

Todd Rundgren played his first ever show at the Artpark Mainstage Theater last night. He did however play the outdoor venue once as a member of Ringo Starr’s All-Star band back in 2014. The set mirrored his last appearance in North Tonawanda last spring almost to a tee. Without a new record out Rundgren felt this tour of deep cuts needed to be heard some more as this leg is dubbed the Still Me/Still We tour as a continuation of his Me/We tour of last year. It seemed like déjå vu last night at Artpark. On August 1, 2017, 38 Special and George Thorogood played the outdoor Amphitheater at Artpark. Last night the same two bands were on the bill together once again. Neither band seemed to have lost a step considering how hot it got at the majestic outdoor venue. “Artpark in Lewiston, NY is the best kept secret” as George Thorogood let us know during his set. He should know as he and the Detroyers have been doing this now for over 50 years. He’s played all kinds of venues and regardless of its size always delivers. Continue reading

Chip Z’nuff brought his band through WNY again this past Wednesday. The Caz was the place to be on this hot and sticky summer night. The only problem was many were unaware of this show. If a band ever had an opportunity to “mail in” a performance this had all the makings of it. Despite the low attendance, none of the bands let it deter them from putting on fantastic sets. The crowd was very appreciative of the effort put forth making it a very intimate and unforgettable experience for those who attended. Continue reading

One way or another the promoter was going to make the rock double bill happen. It was announced that due to circumstances beyond his control Motley Crue singer Vince Neil would be unable to perform with Stephen Pearcy. Lo and behold they managed to pull a rabbit out of a hat and were able to land former Skid Row vocalist Sebastian Bach. Continue reading
