On Tuesday night in September, the OLG Stage at Fallsview Casino in Niagara Falls hosted the final North American tour stop for the UK’s current rock phenomenon, Yungblud. He delivered a performance that was nothing short of electrifying. The 5,000-seat venue sold out in under three minutes, a fact that even Harrison himself seemed shocked by. But after a 90-minute set that felt more like a punk rock exorcism than a typical concert, the crowd knew exactly why.

Yungblud’s recent high-profile appearances, including a stunning rendition of “Changes” at Black Sabbath’s farewell show in July and a blazing performance at the MTV Video Music Awards, have only fueled his rise. If those moments were rocket boosters for his career, this concert was the sonic boom that followed.

The crowd was as diverse as it was passionate, ranging from 5yr olds with colored hair to 60 somethings in leather jackets, all dressed for the occasion. As the band walked on stage, anticipation began to hum through the air like static. When Yungblud himself entered, the room didn’t just cheer. It erupted.

From the first note of the opening song “Hello Heaven Hello,” Yungblud didn’t simply perform. He unleashed everything. Bare-chested, soaked in sweat, and brimming with wild energy, he thrashed, screamed, and sprinted across the stage as if staying still was not an option. His presence brought to mind a young Iggy Pop, with clear nods to legends like Mick Jagger, Steven Tyler and a hint of Billy Idol. He was like the most unhinged yet fun fitness instructor, commanding the crowd to jump, wave, and shout along with him.

The setlist was a tightly packed 13-song journey through his evolving sound. Songs like “Fleabag,” “Lowlife,” and “Loner” hit deep with fans who have found comfort in his brutally honest lyrics about alienation and anxiety. “Funeral,” the 2022 track that features Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne in the video, brought the crowd to life, as did his brand new collaboration with Aerosmith, “My Only Angel.”

But the emotional peak of the night came with “Changes,” the Black Sabbath ballad he’s made his own. He dedicated it once again to Ozzy Osbourne, delivering it with raw power and sincerity. It was a moment that showcased the depth behind the chaos, and proved that Harrison is more than just a showman. He’s a storyteller, too.

Between songs, he paused to express gratitude, saying, “Thank you from the bottom of my foookin’ heart. I promise I will come back to Canada every year until I am dead. This tour has blown my mind.”

At one point, he asked the audience to stand on their seats and jump. Security gently discouraged the idea, but many fans did it anyway. That moment summed up the night perfectly. Yungblud’s energy was impossible to resist.

By the end of the show, there was no doubt left. Whether you’ve followed him from the beginning or are just catching on, a Yungblud concert is more than just a night out. It’s a raw, loud, and emotionally charged experience that hits you in the gut and stays with you long after the last note fades.
