Geoff Tate made a triumphant return to town Sunday evening to the Town Ballroom. By the end of the evening Tate very satisfied with the reaction of the crowd announced we will be back. The turnout for a Sunday night in Buffalo in the dead of winter to hear two iconic albums played front to back was more than enough to convince Tate to make that statement. Also the Ballroom was the perfect venue for his band to play with its great sight lines. This was also one of the best sounding shows this writer has ever attended inside the venue. Debby Boone made a long awaited return to the Bear’s Den Saturday evening. She was scheduled to play last year but had to postpone the show. Lifehouse returned to the Avalon Theatre at Fallsview this past Thursday night. The show marked the band’s first concert since October thus making it their first in 2020. The Seneca Niagara Event Center featured a true legend Friday evening when Dionne Warwick graced the stage. Warwick at 79 years old still sounded fantastic as she made her way through an 80-minute set. Joining her were drummer David Elliot, bassist Keith Nelson, keyboardist Todd Hunter and music director Rob Schrock. Later in the set Warwick revealed that Elliot was her eldest son.
