Lifehouse returned to the Avalon Theatre at Fallsview this past Thursday night. The show marked the band’s first concert since October thus making it their first in 2020. The band also made mention to the packed house that they will be going out with the Goo Goo Dolls this summer which drew a great reception.

The band is currently comprised of vocalist Jason Wade, drummer Rick Woolstenhulme Jr and bassist Bryce Soderberg. They were rounded out on stage with guitarist Steve Stout who has been with them since 2014.

The band opened with “Wash” a track from their second album Stanley Climbfall as they proceeded to mix in cuts with No Name Face and Who We Are being the best represented from the bands discography.

Other tracks of note were “Wrecking Ball” which featured Soderberg on lead vocals, as well as stellar versions of “Spin” and “Halfway Gone”.

The band noted they were going to play some lessor known songs as they decided to mix things up and not just play the same old set of nothing but hits to keep things fresh. Considering the band had not played a show in months and with all living in different areas could not even practice in the same room, they zipped through their 90-minute set with no issues as Wade sounded in fantastic voice. Not too many bands can pull off what they guys did. It was a great night of music in one of the best venues in the world. Nights really do not get much better than this.
