One year ago the Batavia Rockin’ the Downs concert series welcomed the Grass Roots. They returned less than one calendar year later with headliner’s Herman’s Hermits starring Peter Noone. It was a “Dandy” good time by all taking in all the classic songs that these two groups dished out. Heck the fans also got “double scooped” as Mark Dawson noted at one point during the show. It is not called the AM Gold tour for nothing. The name of Train’s first album in some five years served as the perfect title for Train’s summer shed tour. The tour also features Jewel and Blues Traveler as well as Parachute’s Will Anderson. Pat Monahan and Company pulled out all the stops Saturday evening as they took many of the fans back in time not only through their catalog but also through songs that were huge back in the day of AM radio. Despite rain throughout various points of the day it did not deter too many from coming out and seeing one of the most talked about artists in the music business today.
