Judas Priest took to the MVP Arena stage Saturday night for their second show on this fall leg of their latest tour. This time around they are still celebrating 50 years of the mighty Judas Priest which started . It almost seemed like a flashback to 2005 when Priest also toured with Queensrÿche on another memorable tour. I like the fact that Judas Priest brings bands who truly deserve the slot and that it also gives the fans a well balanced show. Continue reading

Concert Review & Photos: Joseph Suto

John Petrucci hit the Town Ballroom Sunday evening for what was billed as his first ever solo tour. Joining him for the occasion were longtime “don’t leave home without him” collaborator and bassist Dave LaRue and longtime friend Mile Portnoy on drums. The last time we saw Orleans was at the Riviera Theatre in March. At that time the band were forced to perform as a four piece unit due to circumstances that arose. Thursday night the band was at full throttle with guitarist Fly Amero back in the mix to compliment Tom Lane. The Hoppen Brothers with Lance on bass and Lane on keyboards were also accompanied by the solid drumming of Brady Spencer. The band sounded refreshed and with the venue’s immaculate acoustics simply made it top notch. Continue reading

We got together to discuss the catalog off Rainbow. Oddly enough this band never had a gold record and only reached the top 40 with one song. An interesting band to say the least. They had many talented vocalists and musicians but never seemed to get over that hump. Check it out and please leave some feedback.
