70 must be the new 40 and vocalist John Waite made it look so easy as the 71 year old singer moved about the stage from one end to the other like a man half his age. Watching Waite perform at the Riviera Theatre Saturday evening was like stepping back in time. It marked the second time he played the famed venue in North Tonawanda, NY and was his first appearance since 2021. The 80-minute set featured songs throughout Waite’s storied career including those with The Babys, Bad English as well as his solo career. Continue reading

The night before Thanksgiving has always been a festive time in Buffalo. This year was even more so as Bush played to a sold out Town Ballroom. The 1000 capacity venue may very well be the smallest they will play on this fall tour. The show must also be noted that Bush gave the Town Ballroom their 25th sellout of the year. From the time opener Eva Under Fire started to the time Bush ended the place was packed to the rafters. Having seen Bush many times over the years, I would say this show was not only the best sounding but the most energetic I have ever seen frontman Gavin Rossdale. Continue reading
