It was not just another sold out night at Buffalo’s RiverWorks this past Wednesday. No it was the return of Dayseeker who stormed the stage from start to finish during their all too brief set. The remaining dates of this tour have also sold out and judging from the glow and response of the audience one can see why. Joining them on this bill were Australian metal core band Northlane, Massachusetts natives Wind Walkers and the genre blending sace6.

Kicking things off were sace6 who’s debut album “brutalist” hit the stores on May 8. The band played a solid set of songs that were all over the spectrum. These guys specialize in blending in all different genres into their music. Vocalist sace and guitarist Noah Thomas are the songwriters. They were joined by drummer Tyler Saxz. Whether it was the pounding “ego” to the softer “perfidy” and everything in between, these guys gave it their all and left with a ton of newly won over fans who may not have been familiar with them.

Wind Walkers were up next. The band formed in Massachusetts initially as Atlas before transforming into Wind Walkers. The band is currently comprised of vocalist Trevor Borg, guitarists Timothy and Neil Comeau, bassist Craig Martin and Drummer Ethan Cheesman.
The band played a few songs from their 2025 EP I Don’t Belong Here including the crowd pleasing “The End Aesthetic” and “Eating My Heart Out”. The band closed out strong with “Bodybag” and “Hangfire” leaving the crowd begging for more.

Northlane, the metal core band from Australia were next and all I can say is these guys put on quite a set. One of the most exciting metal core bands on the road today, these guys came to play. The bands heavier sound was immediately felt by the crowd as they began with “Carbonized”. One of the standout moments came in the form of “Evian”, the band’s latest standalone single.

The band is currently made up of vocalist Marcus Bridge, guitarists Jon Dailey and Josh Smith along with drummer Nik Pettersen. The band dug out a medley of songs from earlier in their career with “Worldeater/Dispossession/Solar”. Appropriately closing with a stellar version of “Clockwork” off their 2022 release Obsidian, they ended on a powerful note.

Dayseeker needed no introduction as they took to the stage with “Pale Moonlight” which had the crowd singing along right from the start. This being just the 5th date of the tour, it seemed they were already hitting their plateau. With the stage decorated with a slanted coffin and various plants vocalist Rory Rodriguez led the band through a healthy portion of the bands latest album Creature in the Black Night. With songs like “Shapeshift” and “Crawl Back To My Coffin” it was clear to see why the album has done so well on the charts.

The band are finally starting to see the rewards from putting in a lot of hard work since they formed in 2012. Whether it was the new material or on older songs such as “Burial Plot” or “Sleepwalk” the band has shown growth in the material over the years. This is exactly the type of package promoters thirst for. Four bands who all stand out on their own and yet seem like they all belong on the same tour. It was a true winning moment for all involved.
