Bush played their first dates of 2026 culminating with this rocking affair at The Vine Showroom at del Lago Casino Resort in Waterloo, NY this past Saturday. The band will then hit the road full force in April for a much bigger run of dates with Mammoth. It was simply amazing that the guys were in mid tour form while being off for the last two months.

The band hit the stage with what seems to be their customary opener “Everything Zen”, surprised with “Quicksand” before playing heavyweight “Machinehead”. The band made a statement by coming out hitting hard and fast just for starters. The menu then featured four tracks carefully sprinkled into the set from their latest album I Beat Loneliness.

The current lineup of the band has now been together since 2019 when drummer Nik Hughes came aboard. Gavin Rossdale is the sole remaining original member of the band. Guitarist Chris Traynor and bassist Corey Britz have been in the band since 2010 when Bush reconvened following their eight year hiatus. The way these guys pull off the music really makes you appreciate their dedication to their craft. Hughes is a powerhouse timekeeper, Britz adds his thumping bass lines to make a formidable rhythm section. Traynor who really stands out on the bands latest effort is as good as they come especially in a live setting.

The band ran through a solid version of the Beatles “Come Together” which was one of many highlights. Rossdale did some running of his own when during the set closer “Flowers On A Grave” he ran out in the middle of the crowd and proceeded to make his way throughout the venue.

Back for an encore they closed out with juicy morsel “Swallowed” before going into 2022’s “More Than Machines”. For a delicious dessert the band ended with “Comedown” which had the crowd singing along loudly leaving every member of the band smiling ear to ear.

While many bands that were from the 90s have fallen by the wayside or carried on with numerous lineup changes, Bush is the exception. Their concerts still deliver the goods to their fans, they pack and sell out the venues they play and are still putting out stellar new music. The band leaves it all up on the stage and are a well oiled machine while still delivering a mind blowing experience for their fans.
