Simple Plan played a rare headlining show in Niagara Falls recently. The band has played the Warped tour numerous times over the years but to see the band headline was a treat. Hailing from Montreal, Quebec, Simple Plan played the final night of their 15th Anniversary Tour of their debut album No Pads, No Helmets…Just Balls. The band commemorated the occasion by playing the album in its entirety.

Currently the band is comprised by all of its original members including lead vocalist Pierre Bouvier, guitarists Jeff Stinco and Sébastien Lefebvre, bassist David Desrosiers and lastly drummer Chuck Comeau.

The show started off with the band’s most energetic song in “I’d Do Anything” as the band wasted no time delving into No Pads, No Helmets…Just Balls . From there they played the album in its correct order hitting on such fan favorites as “I’m Just A Kid”, “Perfect” and “Addicted” all which received their fair share of play over the airwaves.

The band then came back out and played some of their other hit songs such as “Shut Up”, “Crazy” and “Welcome To My Life” with the latter topping the Canadian Charts in 2004. Overall a decent show even if they skipped one of their best songs in “Me Against The World”.

Opening the show were fellow Montrealers Story Untold and Hit The Lights who hail from Lima, Ohio. Both bands played short but very effective sets. Would have loved to hear more from each.
