Lynyrd Skynyrd
Artpark
Tuesday In The Park
Lewiston, NY
There was a little scare in Skynyrd Nation last weekend. The band was forced to cancel their scheduled shows but do not fear as the band will commence touring on August 11, and will be at Artpark on August 15. Get your tickets now as you will not want to miss out as this band always sells out.
The band has played the scenic venue three times in the past. Each show was memorable for one reason or another. These good ol’ boys get things going from the time they take the stage until the time they leave with their traditional closer the iconic showstopper “Freebird”. Led by founder Gary Rossington, the band seems to better with age. This show is one show you will not want to miss. There are really no surprises when it comes to a Skynyrd show. You will get no fluff and all stuff as they say. Every Skynyrd hit played authentically just like you remember them.
Just to dispel any rumors we have posted the statement the band’s management issued on August 7 below
Management Statement:
Skynyrd Nation,
There have been false reports (fake news) of Johnny Van Zant suffering a heart attack, which is not true. This past Friday, Gary Rossington had to undergo a procedure to address some blockage in his arteries to his heart. Gary was released Friday evening and has been home recovering and in good spirits. Doctors have advised that he recover this week, forcing the band to cancel this past weekend’s shows and tomorrow at the Buffalo Chip in Sturgis, SD. The band will commence touring, this Friday in Virginia Beach with Hank Williams Jr and Aaron Lewis. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused the fans and hope to see you on the road in the near future.
