On an absolutely gorgeous evening at The Buffalo Harbor, Fitz and The Tantrums returned to town and dazzled the large crowd on hand. They put on a show that just may be quite hard for the rest of the Thursday concert series performers to top. Lead Vocalist Michael Fitzpatrick, and co-vocalist Noelle Scaggs led the band that featured James King on saxophone & flute, Joseph Karnes on bass, John Wicks on drums and Jeremy Ruzumna on keys. Scaggs was a bundle of energy as she very seldom was seen standing still throughout the ninety minute show.

The band came charging out of the gate hard and fast with “Don’t Gotta Work It Out”. Fitz was very appreciative of the Buffalo crowd and even complimented them on being the best crowd on the tour so far. Fitz & Company are also in the process of making their second album and treated the fans to a new tune “She’s Out Of My League” that potentially may be on it. Afterwards he asked the crowd how it was to a positive response.

This is definitely one band to watch out for. While it may be very hard to categorize this band because of their many influences, their sound reminds one as being reminiscent of motown, funk and indie pop flavors. This band is indubitably going places as they have a unique and fresh sound that can be explored to greater heights. Buffalo music fans are very much aware as every show, the attendance numbers keep increasing each time the band comes to town. We may have to build a bigger venue to accommodate if this keeps up.

Special Thanks to Shannon Cosgrove and Bobbie Gale of BIG HASSLE MEDIA for their assitance in helping us cover the show!!
