Sons of Apollo recently completed a warm-up trek to ready themselves for their highly anticipated world tour that starts in April. Buffalo was been selected as one of the cities for the warm up shows and the band did not disappoint putting on a raving performance. It was one last time around for Udo Dirkschneider Monday evening at the Montage Music Hall in Rochester, NY. No he is not retiring but after this Back to the Roots tour he is putting a close on playing the Accept songs. He will focus on his other material going forward. Halestorm Returns To Rochester Brings Stone Sour Along For Ride

Halestorm returned to Rochester a few weeks back. It was considered a makeup date from their show which was supposed to take place in October. Due to Lzzy Hale’s illness the band had to cancel at the last minute. The other bands on the bill New Year’s Day and Greta Van Fleet. We were on hand for both shows. Corey Taylor and Stone Sour made up for the trouble. The lone disappointment was Halestorm did not headline and played an abbreviated set from what they would have had they headlined. Overall most fans left the venue in good spirits. Continue reading

Sheehan’s New Band Is A Powerhouse As They Rock The Ballroom

The Town Ballroom in Buffalo was quite busy over the 72-hour span last weekend. Wednesday Machine Head played, Thursday Marillion played their first show in town in 28 years and on Friday Sons of Apollo played one of their first ever shows. The band recently played on Cruise to the Edge and coming off the ship started their first ever tour. It was only fitting that Buffalo drew an early gig with hometown boy Billy Sheehan in tow. Sheehan and his new band delivered a show unlike any that he played in town before. Continue reading

Marillion and Buffalo, two words that you haven’t heard in the same sentence in the past 28 years. That all changed Thursday evening as the band finally played their first area show here since an outing on the outdoor stage at the now defunct Sinbad’s night club back in 1990.
