It’s all in a name. There are many artist’s known by simply one name. Long before such names as JoJo, Adele, Kesha and Madonna there was Cher. Born Cherilyn Sarkisian she has taken the music and acting world by storm. Gaining Popularity with her then husband Sonny Bono was where it all began in 1965 as they skyrocketed to #1 with their very first single “I Got You Babe”. From there a solo career, an acting career, numerous awards and recognitions. Friday night Cher played before a packed KeyBank Center for what she claims really is the last time although the current tour name Here We Go Again Tour may say otherwise. Continue reading

Box of Frogs
By: Joseph Suto

The Yardbirds were one of the pioneers for playing the type of music they played. With such diversity that featured not only blues but also included jazz, folk, rock, pop, and raga to name a few, they were an inspiration to many bands who are still relevant today. During the 1960s the band at various stages featured such guitars greats as Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck and James Patrick Page. Solidifying the foundation of the band were drummer Jim McCarty, bassist Paul Samwell-Smith, multi-instramentalist Chris Dreja and singer Keith Relf. Continue reading

Over 10,000 rock and rollers turned up for the Disturbed show at KeyBank Center this past Saturday. While it may have helped having Three Days Grace on the bill as well as being on a Saturday night, Buffalo was sorely in need of a good kick-ass show and they got it from both bands. Basically Disturbed took a page out of Motley Crue’s book by playing the east coast in the dead of winter with no other competition on the road and they were rewarded. One look at Disturbed’s stage set up and you knew that KeyBank Center was the place to be Saturday night. Continue reading

When vocalist Ed Kowalczyk stated to the sold out Fallsview Casino crowd that this year marks Throwing Coppers 25th anniversary it seemed like he almost couldn’t believe it as much as I. It is so hard to fathom that the album that put the band on the map and got the whole ball rolling is that old. The album has a unique distinction for climbing to #1 after it first hit the album charts (52 weeks) thus making it the third longest gap to do so in the Billboard Album Chart history.
