While Friday the 13th may be bad luck to some, to the fans of Queensryche it was simply seeing a majestic show put on by their favorite band. The fact that the band were able to deliver such a gem of a show without any kind of fancy stage or even a banner, shows how deep their music is. The band managed to play many songs from their 1983 EP right through to 1995’s Promised Land. Continue reading

Playing to a packed house the band treated their fans to not only the hits but a few rare tracks as well. Friday night’s Rockin’ At The Downs featured the hard rockin’ glam metal band Slaughter. Slaughter was announced as a late fill-in when Skid Row who was originally scheduled, had to bail out due to circumstances beyond their control. Slaughter did not disappoint their fans as they demonstrated during their 70-minute set. The show also marked the band’s first area appearance since a 2013 date out at the now defunct Braun’s Concert Cove. Continue reading

Quiet Riot returned to the Buffalo, NY area for the first time without any members from its famed “Metal Health” era. The show was originally planned to take place at Lancaster Motorsports Park but was moved to the Stage (formerly known as Club Infinity) in Williamsville. Per the wishes of the late Frankie Banali, the band is soldiering on as they put on a respectable show that showcased the best songs from the aforementioned era. Continue reading
