While it may seem a tad early, Pentatonix got a jump start to the upcoming holiday season with a spirited performance at KeyBank Center Saturday evening. The a cappella group from Texas consists of vocalists Mitch Grassi, Kirstin Maldonado, Scott Hoying, Kevin Olusola and Matt Sallee. As stated a few times during the night this was the biggest crowd they have played to date on this tour which is six dates in.
These vocalists are a tight knit unit and compliment each other well. They all seemed thrilled to be able to be on that stage and talking about their holiday experiences while performing these songs with honesty. To mix things up they wheel out The Wheel of Christmas, which has song titles on it and they play whatever the wheel lands on to make each show unique. They even have a mystery song in which they come up with a name and make up the song right on the spot. You never get the same exact show twice.
It was a fantastic way to get everyone into the start of the holiday season. This tour marks the bands third holiday jaunt in a row as well as their biggest yet to date. The tour is hitting major markets and they will be headlining Madison Square Garden for the first time ever. This is a highly recommended tour for anyone who likes to go to holiday shows, we advise to add it to your list you will be glad you did.
