Concert Review/Jewel Handmade Holiday Tour/Seneca Allegany Events Center/Saturday December 8, 2018/Review & Photos: Joseph Suto
Jewel brought her Holiday tour to Seneca Allegany Casino on Saturday. It was no ordinary show. Sure she played a healthy dose of holiday music but she also played a set of her own tunes as well. What made this show different was the fact she brought her family with her. Opening the show was her dad Atz Kilcher alongside her brothers Atz Lee and Nikos Kilcher. After a handful of songs Jewel came out.
Jewel started with “Somewhere Over The Rainbow” before heading into a batch of holiday tunes that included “The Christmas Song”, “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas” and “O Holy Night”. She then started to play her own songs beginning with “Hands”. She then asked the audience what they wanted to hear. It appeared she was looking for an off the cuff song before settling on “Morning Song.” From there she played the ones most wanted to hear in “Foolish Games”, “You Were Meant For Me” and “Who Will Save Your Soul”
Jewel then delved back into the holiday songs to end the show with everyone coming out and lending a hand on the finale “Let It Snow”. It truly was a family affair.
