Five Finger Death Punch
Rapids Theatre
Niagara Falls, NY
Wednesday October 9, 2013
The Rapids Theatre hosted another sold out show Wednesday evening this time it was Five Finger Death Punch, FFDP for short. The Wrong Side Of Heaven tour touched down in Niagara Falls and the band led by vocalist Ivan Moody nearly tore the roof off. The band is coming in fresh off this summer’s Rockstar Energy Mayhem Tour as they are in between releases.
The Wrong Side Of Heaven and The Righteous Side Of Hell, Volume 1, came out in June. The follow-up release The Wrong Side Of Heaven and The Righteous Side Of Hell, Volume 2 hits the stores next month.
The band took to the stage following the frenzied crowd shouting in unison the bands name with “Under And Over It” a song taken from their 2011 release American Capitalist.
The double guitars of Zoltan Bathory and Jason Hook helped add some muscle to tracks such as “The Way Of The Fist” and “Burn It Down.” Rounding out the band’s lineup were the rhythm section of drummer Jeremy Spencer and bassist Chris Kael.
The sound was one of the best I’ve ever heard for a Rapids show. This is one of the tightest touring units on the circuit today. They know when to crank it up and can tone it down a bit like on “Bad Company” and “The Bleeding.”
With each release the band has charted higher than the last with the last three reaching into the top 10. Constant touring has done the band good as they have built up a legion of fans. Moody proclaimed during the show as he led a Fiver Finger chant and concluded by saying to the crowd, “And don’t you ever forget it.” I don’t believe anyone who attended this stellar show ever will.
