Korn paid another visit to Rochester, NY Thursday evening, as they rode into town on their Path Of Totality Tour. The rowdy crowd was ready for the onslaught as Korn had them in the palm of their hands right from the first note. Individual dubstep performances by J Devil(Jonathan Davis) and Sluggo, got the crowd prepared for an evening of loud aggressive stylings as only Korn can deliver.

The show was divided into three sections with old and rare songs being played first. The nights proceedings began with “Divine” and “Predictable”, a pair of tunes from the 1994 debut. The middle part of the show got started with a raucous version of “Narcissistic Cannibal”, which was the second single released from The Path of Totality. Other songs from TPOT included “Chaos Lives In Everything” as well as the first single “Get Up!”. The vociferous set concluded with some greatest hits. The Pink Floyd cover “Another Brick In The Wall” had the crowd singing along in unison. Davis then brought out his bagpipes signaling the start of the Korn classic “Shoots and Ladders” that led into a cover of Metallica’s “One”.

Korn has a very dedicated following and the Rochester faithful did not disappoint. The Path of Totality is an experimental release, a groundbreaking one if you will for Korn, who have decided to try something different. They used a number of different producers and explored new areas by mixing metal and electronic music giving the album a unique flavoring. It was also named “Album of the Year” at the 2012 Revolver Golden Gods Awards. From the reaction of the crowd in Rochester, NY, the fans really seemed to agree with the path Korn has taken.
